Hussien's Teleprompter State of the Union Address
Are you gonna watch the lies, the blatant deceptions, the stale talking points, and the outright declarations of how Barry desires to fundamentally change this country into something we cannot recognize? Are you gonna watch the monotonous reading of the teleprompter and the scripted breaks for democrat applause and standing ovations?
Well I'm not. I'd rather go in my backyard and fling my Pitbulls poop over the fence into my Islamic neighbors yard.
I'm sure BJ will be glued to the TV to watch his hero and believe everything he.... I mean, his teleprompter, says......

I'm not going to watch that either, Cabby. He's been marginalized like Clinton after he lost his Congressional majority, and can only do some small things and use his veto pen. No big deal to me.
And I've been over-feeding my pitbull a wee bit myself. I'm thinking a really big industrial sized fan, too!

I wont watch the live event but rather the snippets on Fox News. I just cant bring myself to watch him that much anymore. His overriding theme is,,, "its Bush's fault" and "its all about me me and me"..

I've watched every state of the union address by every president for as long as I can remember. I prefer to hear the speech in it's entireity as opposed to forming an opinion on soundbites and from someoone else's perspective.
This one does not go down as one of the better State of the Union speeches I've heard. I'll wait for you guys to start posting regurgigations of whoever your favorite talking heads are.

I usually watch the State of the Union, Republican or Democrat, but simply couldn't make myself watch it last night. While flipping through the channels afterwards, I ran across the Republican response (which again I didn't watch), but it brings up another item...is the "response" (again, Republican or Democrat) not the most worthless POS programming ever put on TV? I've never seen a response that didn't sound petty, whining, and childish. Ugh, we need a new generation of politicians in this country. We need to change the American mindset in the way they go about electing a politician and get some decent people in office who care more about this country than the way their hair looks.
I believe TV doomed American politics.

Greenie for ya!
I like BJ's comment that he didn't think it was very inspiring oratory for a statesman, and Shad's comment that we're doomed because of the worthless process and media.
Let's just say I won't be buying an Apple iPad to watch it again, or read all the comments from the short bus.

the last 15 minutes of it sounded like a campaign speech, rather than a SOTU

I watched and listened and played "State of the Union Speech Bingo".
I thought the speech was just so much hot air and had very little to do with the current "state of the union" but rather what he wants and where he wants to go. Actually more of the same ole "Pie in the sky" bull crapola.

I watched all I could stand, @ 5min worth. Same thing for the last gubernatorial debate @ 5 min is all I can stand. I've come to the realization that ALL politicians are lying scumbags. Democrat, Republican, or independent they are all scumbags and are only for filling there own pockets.
I agree that we need to change the way we as a country elect our leaders. politicians are scumbags. We need to set term limits, Put all senators and congressmen on social security and medicare like the rest of us will get.
Did I mention that ALL politicians are scumbags?...SK

He did say "I" 96 times in his speech, not that he is arrogant or anything.
