Anyone up for a little friendly competition?
I just signed up over at updown.com . They give you $1M of fantasy investment money. You can set up a competition between friends to compare results. If you are interested, go to their website and sign up, but don't start investing yet:

My username is ShadMan over there. Post yours up on this thread when you sign up so we can all track each other's progress. We'll start the competition on Monday, January 12, which gives everyone a week or so to see this and get signed up. Let's run it through the end of the first quarter. Winner is the highest percent gain at the close of the regular market session (4PM ET) on 3/31/09.

OK, I set up a contest for everyone to join. Click on the Contests tab at the top, then type in "Salty" in the search box on the right-hand side and hit Enter. Click on the Salty 1Q09 contest, and you're in!
