Question Sundance - Are you still out there?

I feel the need to start a new thread - As the news about Sundance have faded away, so have the posts. I know that more important issues happened recently, like Ike and it's mess - but this "fall-back" started before Ike and the curtains are still down. Don't mean to invade the privacy of the Head family - I think most of us are interested first of all that everyone is ok and second we want to know about the future music endeavors and if there are any.
I think that all the faithful fans will accept a delay of just about anything and I believe the fans will also accept (sadly of course) if the music has been put on hold or ended. We would like to know, because we care.
The Entertainment Industry can be moody and harsh and forever changing. Sundance' fanbase goes beyond Texas, but it is slowly fading, as the folks outside of Texas are not privy to news unless it is on a website. Is there an update on a website?
We miss you Sundance!

Hey neusch,

I've been wonderin myself. Been thinkin to send an email, say hi, etc. to see if there may be a response. As far as music endeavors, the music will not stop. It may not be publicized, or commericialized, but musicans love to play music. I've known lots of musicans, and the music will not stop.

I know that he told me of a website/message board in the works, but with the new baby and the storm, may have been pushed back some. Don't get your hopes down! Hopefully Russ will dig around and find some updates of things. He's been quiet since he went on holiday and the forum merged into here while he was gone.

Hopefully Sundance has been workin on an indie kind of thing and wants it secure before he "Lets the cat outta the bag"

I sent Sundance a PM a while back when the forum moved, but never heard back.

Rocker RDD - Sounds like music runs in your veins

Yeah - Margaritaville - lots of good memories. You are right, the music will never die - I come from a musicians family - music has been our lives.
Appreciate the uplifting words - must have had one of those "funks" when starting the thread. Been getting my butt back to work out - tends to push any funk aside - no wonder - the pain makes you forget!!!
Had a friend move to San Antonio last month - maybe once they are settled take them up on their invite and visit different areas in Texas. Been a number of years since I spent a vacation in Hills Country - would like to go to the coast, may not not be a good idea to do that anytime soon.
But definitely would want to check and see if Sundance would be performing somewhere at that time.

I sent another email to Misty and got a reply this morning. She said that their computer has been down, but is working again now. Due to Hurricane Ike, Sundance's show schedule has been tossed around and rescheduled. He will be playing in San Marcos, TX next weekend and in Lake Jackson, TX on November 15.

I am going to work with Misty and Sundance to try and create a dedicated site for Sundance where he can list his schedule and maybe set up a blog where he can discuss his career and communicate with his fans. I'll let you know more once Misty and I have a chance to talk a little more.

That's great, Shadman. I think Misty & Sundance will do well to have you helping them.

Alright, Jeff!
I did through out your name when we were talking about a message board.

Might have to make that San Marcos show and give everyone a review. If I remember right, it is the county fair. Maybe, just maybe, we can get a recording and post it, or get some sample CDs for everybody to hear. Good idea?

Thumbs up Thanks Guys - Again!

I do appreciate all your efforts Shad Man and your lending hand to Sundance and Misty to get a website going! RDD - it would be so cool if you could capture the music!
Maybe I just have to relocate to be closer to Sundance' music? I am sure my hubby would be just "thrilled" if I would present that option to him!?!

I spoke with Misty and Sundance both today and discussed the site I am going to create for Sundance. I will let you know more about the new site as it comes to fruition. Sundance will also drop by and give an update on what he is up to right now. He's got some music he'd like to share with his fans and get your feedback on, so I will upload it here soon once he sends it over to me.

Shad:
Keep his My Space page updated with show dates. Also, get a good bio up on his Myspace. He needs more than 2 songs on there too. Get some pictures with his band on MySpace too. MYSpace, like it or hate it, has become an EPK of choice for alot of venue operators and talent buyers. You can have his MySpace updated with show dates, blog, and pics almost as fast as you can get the material, so I would start with that first. Then, as you develop his web page, you can simply direct visitors to is MySpace with a link until you get the website fully developed.

Sorry it's took me so long to check back in here guys. Had some things going on that had sidetracked me a little. But it looks like I picked the right day to come back! I'm overjoyed with all the new music and am gonna post some thoughts in that thread on that subject. I've also had one or two ideas that when I'll share when I've got a little more time (hopefully tomorrow). I'm gonna try and round up some of the other fans (Roo, Wahn, chrisandbucky, boogie etc.) and let them know about the new songs and plans for the website. I'll tell them to drop by here too, they may have got lost on the way over from tventhusiast I did do a little digging on the net for Sundance news aswell, the only thing I found was about the San Marcos gig on Friday which you all know about already. But I'll probably post the article tomorrow anyway.

Red Dog, if you do make it to the gig on Friday and manage to get a recording that would be awesome. I'm sure there are many of us who would appreciate your efforts.

ShadMan, I think you've got some great ideas for Sundance's site, and if you need any help at all, I'd be happy to do what I can so just let me know. How are things with Jonathan lately?

I also wanna congratulate Sundance and Misty on the birth of their new baby girl, Persais. I've been meaning to e-mail you guys and tell you as much, so I apologise for not doing that.

I've so much more to say but don't have the time, hope everyone is doing well. I'll try and post gaain tomorrow.
