Sundance updates - Page 3

Maybe Sundance is really busy perfecting his CD.

He could be just down on the San Jacinto fishing. Every star needs a break to do the fun things. Right now, it is pretty cold to be on the water though so maybe he is just snuggled up keeping warm.

Sundance did say he had been doing a lot of fishing when he was being interview on radio. I'm a fair weather fisherman and haven't done much since kids came along, but he made it sound fun even to me. Lucky Guy!

I found a write up about the 2007-2008 Austin Music Awards held the first part of this month which mentioned Sundance and his dad Roy.

Hi Anita, Unfortunately the link didn't work for me either - I'll try again.
I know I am beating the same old drum here - March is almost over and I haven't heard anything new about Sundance and the CD - unless I am really missing something bigtime here - but I haven't seen anything new- and perhaps there isn't anything.
I like the idea that Sundance was offered some assistance with a webpage by the great webmaster. Something building there? Has anyone heard anything? Sundance is too talented to be "forgotten" - in this world full of newcomers, it happens sometimes too quick, and I don't want this to happen to Sundance, as he has such a promising career ahead of him with all his talent and charisma and a following of fans already in place.
Thanks to anybody who keeps digging thru the web and sharing here with us.

I decided to take a few minutes and drop a couple lines.

The second link I posted has Sundance speaking and when asked what he's up to he stated "working on my single".
Having heard that, I am wondering why we still haven't' heard more about the Duet CD. Curious, curious!

Sorry everyone about the link not working for 'fununity'. I found it on the 5th page of a Yahoo search. I tried going to fununity.com and got nothing, but when I clicked on the link through the search page it opened up again. However, I don't know how to find the article through their homepage so I will try to copy and paste the article here for you to read. Wasn't much more than what Russ already shared.

I was in Sundance's home town this past Sunday and I kept my eyes open thinking just maybe he would waltz in and eat at the table next to ours. No such luck though.

Next up was Porter resident Roy Head, fronting a band that included San Antonio sax legend Spot Barnett and Austin surf-guitarist supreme Burnin’ Mike Vernon, still every bit as energetic as his days sharing the pop charts with “Satisfaction” and “My Girl.” Head is still remarkably limber for someone in his ‘60s, as he proved by doing the caterpillar during amped-up closer “Treat Her Right.” Before that though, Head brought out his son Sundance, who showed he’s far too good for American Idol (Universal Records thinks so too) with an elegant “Stormy Monday.”

Perhaps we'll hear soon about the duet CD - perhaps they want the individual CD's ready to release soon after. Maybe they think people aren't spending right now so they'll wait until the economy takes an upswing. One can only guess.

Checking to see if there are any news - like most of you - waiting for updates, just doesn't feel right that there is nothing, expect the occasional blurb found by some of you wonderful searchers. Hopefully Misty or Sundance visit and read the site soon again and update us.

Neusch I read your post in the other thread and I thought I would respond in this thread instead. I am also wondering why we haven't heard anything about the duet CD yet. It's awesome that Sundance is already working on his solo CD, but it is puzzling about the timing.
Idol sure made a fuss last night about how "Idol really works" when they presented Jordin with her framed records yet didn't even give her any credit for singing well. At times I get a bit tired of the corporate pat on the back nonsense. I know Idol has helped many people get noticed and for that they feel a certain amount of gratitude, but please, give some credit to the talented artists.
Idol is so concerned with making themselves look good and promoting the artists who sign with 19 I'm wondering if they will actually share information via their programing about anyone else, such as Sundance and Sabrina.
We should be hearing something soon I would think. It sounds like Sundance is still working hard at pursuing his dream.

Somtimes I forget what I put on which thread - it's kind of running together at times - it's just good to know that other folks are waiting for Sundance news - we can't wait for Sundance's Cd - solo or with Sabrina.
Yeah - I agree, no fuss over Jordin , maybe I am a bit critical, she is a nice young lady and has a career ahead of her, let her get out of Idol's fangs.
